APV is a world-class supplier of process engineering and automation solutions to the food, beverage, pharmaceutical and healthcare industries. From the supply of engineered components through to a complete process plant equipped with latest automation technology, they specialise in helping their customers to improve their plants' performance and profitability.
APV became part of the Siebe Group of companies in June 1997. In February 1999, Siebe merged with BTR plc, also a major international industrial manufacturing and engineering company, to form Invensys plc a global leader in the Automation and Controls industry. With its head office in London, England, and approximately 35,000 employees, the company operates in all regions of the world.

Numo were commissioned to increase the visibility of the particular 'Invensys APV' brand and very competitive product groups of food processing and beverage automation systems. The group had absolutely no positions and desperately needed some visibility for not only enquiries, but importantly for the brand of the business.
This is common with a company of this size as they require to be seen as the market leaders and with visibility in all the major search engines they would have the raised profile to give continuity with their own offline PR.
Optimisation was the route they wished to commission us with, following the success of the parent company campaign.

Because of the depth of product offering from this large organisation, the key terms required were many and varied, more than normally implemented on an optimisation project. However, their website was large and varied providing enough content for our team to work with and provide a successful platform to optimise. We also indicated the expected traffic levels, so that a clear ROI was demonstrated against enquiries and brand spend.
We negotiated with the internal APV team for access to these files as the project, required careful phase containment as they could not afford any errors to be introduced by our coding team.
The optimisation project took into account most aspects of a common optimisation project including, content quality, navigation, site tagging, link popularity as well as some bespoke controls and methodology specific to APV.

We provided some very significant results and maintained their ranking for their markets throughout the project. We delivered 377 top 30 positions in the main search engines, 145 of them in the top 10 position.
